Default ICC radio and a/c dead BA wagon 2003

About 2 months ago when starting car the radio would have CODE on display but stations still tuned. Then about 1 month ago the radio and a/c would shut down while driving, sometimes coming back on within minutes othertimes when i next started car. 1 week ago it died completely. The unit lights up with lights on but cant access radio, a/c, central locking or interior lights. The car operates correctly except for this.

Have been told its the BEM behind the ICC, but also need to change the ignition barrel so the key is correctly coded, which would mean the door lock key as well or have 2 keys. Am i on the correct path.

    Thanks in advance, Rick.

So, randamly after a month i have radio and aircon back, until it goes again! I did try a new BEM and ignition barrel on Sunday, and tried a few tricks i saw on the net to get pcm and bem to talk to each other, but need ford to reset the parameters. Two days later its back.
