Not the White wagon but maybe an injected green one or just the nanna spec yellow one!!
  4. Re: TE/TF Cortina Wagon Fuel tank wanted - Sydney

Thanks Oscar - the one he has is trashed unfortunately!
  5. TE/TF Cortina Wagon Fuel tank wanted - Sydney

As the title says, I'm after a TE/TF wagon fuel tank - they are different to the Sedans as far as I remember (could be wrong - if you know different let me know). I'm doing a project and will be...

    Re: TD Brake Booster question

It sounds weird - you can get remote boosters etc, but I have not seen 2 separate ones running before. if you are Sydney based I can put you onto a brake guy who will be able to sort it very quickly.

    Re: Tc wagon question

Unless you are in WA and you are going from a 2lt to a 4.1 - I understand things are a bit different over there but I may be wrong - I think the story is that you can go 2lt to a 4.1 non crossie, but...
  12. Re: Cortina tf diff upgrade - what are my options?

I'm not sure what they set the quench distance at. The Pistons aren't flat tops, they have some dish. Anyway I am certainly in detonation territory particularly under load. I'm playing with fuel...
  13. Re: Cortina tf diff upgrade - what are my options?

From memory I've got an E2 EFI head that has been flowed to some extent and I'm running forged pistons and hydraulic CAM. I was running standard Pistons in the last build and blew the side off no.1,...
  14. Re: Cortina tf diff upgrade - what are my options?

Love to know how you go with pinging at 12:1. I'm running mine at 11:1 and I am battling to chase out the pinging through the rev range under different loads. Sounds like it will be a bit of fun...

    Re: TE Build

Looking good! And definitely go back to the silver wheels!!!
  16. Re: Cortina tf diff upgrade - what are my options?

I've never had an issue with my 25 spline axles and my 6 is fairly nasty - as Dave says though, it is a matter of how you drive it. My diff had 2.92 ratio which was useless with my 17 inch wheels and...
  17. Re: Cortina tf diff upgrade - what are my options?

I have a TE 4.1 litre that is a reasonable amount better than standard and all I did with my diff is put in a twin pinion and it is still the original 25 spline axles. I haven't been able to break it...
  18. Re: Cortina tf diff upgrade - what are my options?

9" housing? Its not the standard diff then?

Re: TEGH1A Corty in Street Fords 79

In Australia the mkIV cortinas have large chrome bumpers standard, but they have rubber ends that wrap around the front fenders. The bumpers on this one have been customised to have the chrome wrap...

    Re: Electric brake vacuum pump

Oscar, as I understand it (I am not a mechanic or expert, so this is what I have picked up), the 1.5 inch bore master would need more 'boost' to press the pedal, but it creates more efficiency at the...

    Re: Electric brake vacuum pump

Almost - I bought the full hoppers kit - twin piston calipers, 290mm AU falcon rotors drilled and slotted, 1 inch XB master and because this recommended kit gave me a rock hard pedal making it less...

    Re: Electric brake vacuum pump

Update - the brake guy's preferred option was a twin diaphragm booster and a 1.5 inch master. In the end we test fitted the hardware and it wouldn't fit. His second option was a twin diaphragm...
