  1. Re: Fiesta Mk6 (2007) Starting Problem - Diagnosis Required

Recently had plenty of failures to start on my falcon until I cleaned the injectors, the plugs were nearly too dirty to fire so maybe have a look at yours and see if a tuning issue is obvious

52 pounds would make it around 20+ kilos which seems a tad heavy, ounces sounds more likely

    Re: coolant leak

Rather than a gasket I thought most of these models had an o-ring, but either is possible. It pays to look carefully and see if the leak is merely obvious at the bottom of the pump or is definitely...

    Re: 86Da teardown and restore

I have seen alloy motorbike heads like that and it can be a problem, but it's also tricky getting someone to reliably weld up a crack in cast iron stuff in general. Odd issues generally get down to...

Re: Are Repco ignition leads crap?

I found they didn't last as long on mine, maybe 50,000km's or less where the originals were replaced at 150,000 for the first time. It seems the heats shielding on the factory ones helps in that...

It can't hurt, but seriously not everyone is on here regularly anymore and the whole show is pretty lifeless these days. Welcome anyway

    Re: Tickford Ranger RAISED suspension

I had a BT50 as a work car a couple of years ago and the solution to having it constantly loaded was to get the local spring shop to add an extra leaf, the end result was the rear sitting about 30mm...

Re: alternator covered in power steering fluid

That is a common enough failure for these cars, just wipe it down with a rag as running anything else through it may cause other problems later like corrosion. Also recommend getting the leak fixed...

From recent experience it would be easier to pick up the whole unit from a wrecker, I am trying to do something similar to my falcon and the nearest workshop that wants to rebuild a center is around...

Re: New to Forum Here's the Reason I joined.

A few locals whined about mine too but never got around to dobbing me in, essentially a 2&1/4" system with no middle muffler to get around the gas tank but legal even if only just. More of a pain...

Re: Cant lock my AU and interior light stays on

Re: Nissan to make driverless cars by 2020

  22. Re: Hey all have a few questions n stuff to ask about my 99 au fairmont..thanks

One of the most common causes of a poor idle on mine was the vacuum line on the back of the engine kept popping off when the car backfired and caused a massive vacuum leak as a result

Re: Looking for a User Manual

On many of those old meters dwell and RPM would have included connecting some leads across the coil as both can be measured there, I assume the switch at the bottom is a four, six and eight selector?
