Re: Ford's big picture? Jason Lacy!

Unfortunately, Ford is at that delicate step just before making the decision on the next product cycle, their +2015 car.
With Holden on shaky ground, it doesn't make sense to telegraph your future...

Which in turn will make repacking Li-Ion battery packs far far cheaper than people think.
Once the Chinese get into producing Li-Ion batteries, the cost will go way down....

    In any case, $60,000...

  7. Re: Holden unveils 'Volt': world's first long-range electric car

They get recycled and Lithium ion is nowhere as environmentally damaging as the old nickel Cadmium batteries.

Re: How much debt are you in for your beloved Ford?

Bought my wife a new CX-7 last month, mainly because Ford didn't have anything decent to offer in that size.
Paid the last $10,000 off today as an early Christmas present for her. As a side note, I...
  9. Re: First drive: Ford Falcon four-cylinder (drive.com.au)

Umm, there is no Territory SR in the new range.....
In fact, Ford hasn't had an SR in quite a while

Re: Nov '11 car sales - Territory outsells Falcon.

Holden has had a very rough two years with exports to the Middle east have collapsed,
Brazil has basically introduced what amounts to a second tariff and killed sales overnight.

    They will sell...
  11. Re: First drive: Ford Falcon four-cylinder (drive.com.au)

Not many people tow 23' vans and horse floats with Falcons anymore but for
someone who was looking at a Camry or Mazda 6, it may be worth a look.
The idea here is to add new buyers, not replace...

    Not so...
Toyota builds 580 cars a day, it was reported that the strikes there in September could cost Toyota up to $8 million a day in lost production.

Deveraux has admitted that South America has dried up,
they don't export Commodore to Middle East, only about 200/mth Caprice
    That only leaves...
