Default Audi A4 face-lift

S4

Full Article and more pictures
It's probably the most "out of uniform" Audi so far. The A6 and A8 are fairly inoffensive, but this is different, which is by no means a bad thing.

Oh no, they've done a VY!! Designed a car where front and back don't match the mid section! Yeagh!

what the hell are they doing..... Clearly they have thought BMW hasn't stuffed up their line up enough so they have tried to beat them... whats with the euro's making cars that look like they are out of some 70's horror film at the moment.

Its like the yanks are trying to go back to traditional styling, the euro's are going ultra modern looking. Is there something wrong with making a naturally masculine car these days. Something that isn't a square box nor a blubus mass. something thats just nice and has a firm looking stance on the road something thats not a box nor a circle just smoth clean lines...

What's wrong guys?

I don't see a real problem, especially with the front. I love it!!!!

2 minor things:

1. CHANGE THOSE LOWER BSPM's!!!!!!! UGLY! (the ones that look like AU's ones....)

2. Get rid of the lights that are actually on the bootlid. Would look better than it is now.

Overall, pretty good.

I saw this the other day, a black one - for me the shape is sensational but I think I have to get used to the headlights particularly. The Back looks quite OK though as it's a bit sharper than the last one - is the same for the whole shape which is more agressive.

With the new 3.2 and DSG from the A3 it should be a lot more fun than the old one. 8 months and counting...

The back looks a bit Maserati-ish. The headlights are a little small for the big mid section of the nose, otherwise i dont mind it too much.

Whats wrong with Audi and BMW the designers are going for weird and out of place designs and away from beauty that they have been renowned for.

Although not related directly to the A4, I didn’t think it was worth starting a new thread. I’ve just found out that Audi have registered “R8” and “A5” on the 6th of September. The country was “DE” so is that Germany?

DE = Deutschland - the German name For Germany

R8 is the name for the Race Car that has won Lemans many of the last few years.

You think that Audi may be resurrecting that badge with one of their new coupes?
