Default Hook up Lights to Headlight System

Hey guys ive got a pretty simple question for most of yas,
ive got a present from a friend the other day, their these little lights that connect to the windscreen wiper squirters, i think their illegal but still interested in how to wire them up.

How would i connect them up to the headlight system?, Which wires do i join them up with? Obviously the headlight wires, but where is a good spot to join them?..

Thanks guys

personally i would hook it up to another power source and find a hole in the dash such as a button for i unno... the demister if it dont work or the one just under it thats a empty hole plug it into that and make it a on off switch so u can turn them off saves you gettin caught ALL the time haha and when you do just pop them off and go sorry coppa i forgot they was on find a power wire thats always on piggy back off it wire another set of wires up to a switch put the switch in the dash wire to lights ay presto lights work :S

so basically just connect it directly to the battery? with a switch in between? .. wont need any fuses or relays im guessing? ... and since i forget quite abit, how would i go getting it to work with the headlights, so they turn off and on with the parkers aswell as the custom switch? .. could i hook it up to the light switch near the door aswell somehow? .. or doesnt that switch provide enough power? .. ive probably lost ya now lol

Who says that they're illegal? A mate has a set on VN and he's been chipped a couple of times because they're blue in colour and the lads in blue aren't too keen on that, but they've never said anything about the lights themselves being illegal, so if you get a set that's red or green or some other colour, I don't see a problem. By the way, he's never been booked only told to get those f*********g blue lights off there or they'll rip them off but they're still on there and although he's been told two or three times now, it's never gone any further.

haha good point.. or ill just get a few AA batteries and stick it to the underside of the bonnet lol.. Or i could just run a positive cable right too the switch then to the lights and earth it to the bonnet?

But yeh as merv said about them being blue, my brother in law got a canary on his car for having them, only coz they were blue, freaking stupid really but i can see why they get angry, i just need a siren now lol ... and red lights probably wouldnt go too well either lol

But anyways what police fleet are going to drive around in an AU wagon? .. Cops use Commodores and Taxis use Falcons everyone knows that lol

Cops around here drive in FG Falcons AND VE Commodores, Theres even undercover cops with VN and VX and P Plates on... I bet they catch a few

P.S. The Taxi's use Fairlane and Falcons, In Sydney they drive around in Silver BF Fairlane Ghia but around here the best I've seen would be the FG Falcon

i inserted led strip lights into my headlights .They sit on the shelf that runs along the visible base of the light. Any colour other than white that is facing forward is illegal. Mine are hooked up to the parkers , just pull out the globes and wrap some fine wire around the metal terminals
