Cool BF Headlights

I have a BF XR8 Falcon. Coming home two nights ago the Low beam lights cut out while the switch was in the Auto function. If I switched to high beam this was ok. I discovered that when I switched to the off position the low beam activated and all other lights went out. Can anyone help. How do I disarm the Airbag to change the switch if it is faulty. Thanks heaps in advance.

Ring Ford CRC to lodge a claim then take it to a dealership for a diagnosis only (be sure to specify that as they may try to fix it & charge you).

CRC will then make a decision as to whether or not to replace the part, even if your car is no longer covered by new car warranty. Chances are it's the combination switch that has failed, it's a known manufacturing defect.

Thanks for the info. As I needed the car in a hurry our local Auto Electrician replaced the Switch for me. He also told me it was a Manufacturing fault. I am going to place a claim with Ford as the car has only travelled 65,oookm. Let you all know how it goes. Daryll
