    Hey Peeps.

    New to the Forum.

I own an AUII Xr8 sedan 5 speed.
Its a bit rough around the edges. Mainly paintwork.
    Mechanically it is very good.
280,000 k on the 302 but engine bay is pristine.
Plan is to restore and keep for those fun days!

Here's a couple of pics for you to comment on!

    Oddly enough.

3" Cat Back. NO rear Muffler.
    Nice chrome tips.

Already had someone report to damn EPA for noise.
Need to get it checked for being too loud now

People that think that a Loud V8 is noise should be shot!

I honestly believe that if it was a pristine AMG Merc no one would complain. But its an old Ford...

I guess that's the difference between a rev head and a connoisseur? I tend to believe I fall into the latter of the two.

Some people do not appreciate the finer things!
    Peace.

    hi Damian,

yep, some people do not appreciate the finer things in life, like a nice burbly V8 exhaust. We had all sorts of problems with noisy exhausts over here in NZ. The Feds were on
everyone's case, in the end 2 1/2'' pipe seemed to be the difference between too load and just right. So if you want the 'bowl of porridge' that's just right for you, then maybe a
smaller pipe size will do .

    good luck.

A few locals whined about mine too but never got around to dobbing me in, essentially a 2&1/4" system with no middle muffler to get around the gas tank but legal even if only just. More of a pain having to get it tested than any other factor involved.
The BA I have replaced it with is fitted with twin 2&1/2" system with twin straight through mufflers for a stir as much as any other factor now, it's annoying rather than loud....
