Default Falcon wagon 2000 AU ser. II 390000 KM . 50000 KM on LPG Back firing into inlet.

Poliato convertor-reg,Stepper motor no name but has part no. in gas line to air duct at air throttle valve.Has rubber? blanking cap on disconnected vacumm line
under air valve-inlet manifold which blows OFF. SYMPTOMS ,Back firing in inlet manifold on sudden opening of throttle as when moving vehicle from idling-
stationary into moving traffic,it can flash back (BANG) and stall engine. This is a intermittent fault.Slowly increasing throttle opening once above idlle you can
accelerate slowly up to 80---100 KM/hr with no backfiring. SUSPECT stepper motor sticking, plan to take it out and tempory fit fixed mixture control and observe
stepper motor action at various speeds - acceleration.Pulled caravan on petrol last 100km , spark plug color cyl 126 light tan-white not overheated, 345 reddish
color gaps were 1.3mm new ones now .9 mm gap .No sign of driver module for stepper motor ,may be using Fords vehicle computor as they did have dedicated
lpg vehicles.May bring up a fault code if I take stepper motor unit out.Stepper motor unit has larger inlet pipe to convertor and a smaller outlet pepe to inlet air
inlet duct. thanks for any suggested advice ,sorry about length of post Stanly h

Could be an inlet/ vacuum leak. Or coilpack may need replacing.
plasma cutter + TIG + 2k paint= to infinity and beyond!

xy-transit, checked coilpack output ,spark jumps 6mm multiple gap through existing leads color redish orange ,coil secondary windings & leads check in specs.
Stepper? motor is a PRINS has 2 windings ,powered up with continous 12volt , doesn't alter with eng .rev. increase and gets quite hot.Restrictor plunger in gas
stream is spring pushed into lpg flow to engine.Tempory adjustable fitting replacing stepper ? motor when adjusted out of gas flow will stop backfiring but mixture
is then too rich.A few more things to check like harmonic damper condition and air leaks also idle bypass and throttle valve then off to the lpg installer who installed
this setup if I can find his book with address.Probably need a new stepper control and driver module. At vehicles age it might not be practable .thanks for your input.
