He has better finances than I do. I only have 3 cars 2 from USA and one Ozzy. He has 2 Torinos and 3 Mustangs. Plus 4 Ozzy GTs and 3 F Series. 2 9000 and one LTL. Guess he likes Fords dives a Land Rover which was part of Ford once.

Don't know if you would consider it a modern muscle car, but my Ford 5.0 ltr NL Fairlane still goes pretty good

Former owner of a 1970 ZD Fairlane. I love old school as much as new school.
How I miss that car- as you know when you loose a car like that its
so hard to get it back. Atleast I have the memories...

yes Venom XR- vintage cars are 20+ years older still in perfect
working older I think I will have a EL celebration soon...
still counts as only 'special' cars survive the test of time...
The funny or sad thing is these cars still are more than
competitive with the so called 'newer cars'. As we know
some cars are over-engineered and some cars deserve
to have their blueprints destroyed as they were so bad.

Does a '94 Mustang GT with the 5 litre HO engine count?
I would describe it as a "sheep in wolf's clothing" - does not really GO, looks cool. My XR6 goes harder!!!
Also have '68 Notchback "under restoration".

there plenty of goodies to choose from.

XR6's always go hard- Fords horseshoe in a boxing glove- if only they could realise.
Who remembers when Wheels came to the conclusion the 6 went harder than
    a 'stock' 8 did...

Been away for a few years. I don't think this USA muscle car sub-forum was here then.
Anyway, since I sold my FG F6 back in 2009 I've had a few American Muscle cars since then.
Started with a 70 Mach 1 M code auto, then 70 GTO 400/TH400 convertible, 66 Mercury Cyclone GT convertible 390/4 sp Toploader, 66 Mercury Park Lane 2 dr coupe 410/C6 time capsule, and currently a 70 GTO coupe 455/4 sp Muncie ...

Yes so they said but I have driven both and the 5.0L was a much better car to drive and the fact is the aussie test do not show the full facts that the V8 is in fact faster, but they did not test at that range of speed and the fact is that the 6 cyl engine is not a tight engine like the V8 is when new as the V8 take around about 20,000km to free up.
Getting up the 6 is not as nice as it is with the V8 as the 6 is a lot harsher and the V8 is nice and smooth.

The V8 was faster in a straight line only. I had an EA S-pack i6 five speed manual and did regular sprints around Lakeside with my Club. When it came time I traded it on an EB XR8 5 speed manual and the V8 never got down to the times I did in the S-pack 6. It all came down to handling - the V8 was too nose heavy.

The V8 was a better car to drive any day and the front end can be sorted out with better springs and shocks and camber set up.
