1987/88 street burnouts home video, Perth - Ravenswood. I'm only at the 5min mark but will see I can find any Cortina's and edit the post:

That's a very nice 72 TC 4cyl wagon Copper Bronze that's currently [at the time of typing this] for sale on ebay in Keilor Park Melb. I wouldn't be surprised if Bill66's son is after this one, he's got a fine taste in classic cars just like his dad.

Nice, a pre 6cyl flat firewall close as you'll get to the UK English Mk3's

The seller placed a Youtube video link, should be a good watch:

Had to paste this link here though still looking for any Cortina's in this film. Oz 1976 filmed here in Melb, viewing a scene shot at the Wallan Cafe [ 21:20mins ] with a Sundowner XB GS 250 panel van, in a earlier shot [approx 16:36mins] I could see what looked like a 'Col Paige Ford' sticker on the passenger side tailgate door, though wait until their in the car. Servo scene 26:55mins

At the Shepparton Motor Museum in country Vic there are some Mk1 & 2 Cortina's on display but this link is about a 76 XB Falcon 500 sedan 250ci that's been in storage [they said untouched] since 1987, its worth a look if you can get this link to work, the video should load automatically, starts around the 1:30min mark:

    https://www.streetmachine.com.au/str...-auction-video

In the near future I'll be going on my first holiday or trip away since 2007, will be stopping off at this musuem and can't wait to see that XB barn find OR shed find rather.

No Cortina's BUT will place this link here because it'll show similarities to how our local Fords were built-assembled at the time, educational film from 1968 at the Ford River Rouge factory, we'll see the US T-Bird & Falcon being built. I think it was the EA line in 1988 when Broadmeadows moved to increased robotic assembly, whereas before it was mostly done by hand.

A mk1 Cortina features in this early 60's film on how the automotive engine works, at 18:09mins

Another interesting [or depressing] find, an ABC documentary from 1986 about the decline of local car manufacturing be it globalization or government policy though lets NOT debate it, this has some great historical footage:

Been watching a few tram spotting video's taken in Melb during the early 90's, will mark the time positions in the video where you'll find Cortina's:

TE Wagon White: 9:22mins, TD XLE white: 9:53 pause, Mk2 sedan 10:52, TC green sedan [brief shot] 13:43mins, 76 TD Update gold sedan: 17:20

We have seen this video before but probably my favorite one filmed in 1991 across the road from the old Burwood Skyline drive-in cinema, around the 8mins mark onwards:

In this link to a Super8 home movie from 1976, at approx the 2:25min mark, where the boy is riding a bike in the street you'll notice what looks like a Red Pepper TC XLE:

I found some early 80s home video’s [very good quality] featuring drive-around footage in Bournemouth, England. It looks better quality than VHS probably was Betamax or a reel to reel TCR setup. Anyway plenty of Cortina & Escort spotting here:

Thought I'd have a go at trying out my new screen capturing software for that Adrian Brian 1976 Ford dealership TV ad, I set the video to the highest setting at 48p in the hope we could get closer on that 76 TD Update Pine n Lime sedan

Amazing colour 70's home movie footage around Melb of trams, love the Essendon Airport footage at the start and the Wattle Park Elgar Rd footage around the halfway mark but man he filmed the opening day of the East Burwood tram line extension, look very carefully around 29:35mins - 29:50mins, goes right past my favorite spot the old Burwood drive-in cinema:

Most importantly you'll spot a few Cortina's, as well as and in addition to also of course!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gc9z2OS0AI

No Cortina's in this link below but its great colour footage of two teenage boys skateboarding in 1977 Sydney:

I found two films of possible interest, a National Film And Sound Archive - Drinking & Driving Awareness 1978, only spotted 1 Cortina, a white Mk2 behind a red LJ Torana:

And a Mk2 Escort Shannons TV documentary:

Its a 76 Update TD XLE in Blue Steel with rego FDQ399, it was filmed not far from my area in the inner east [melb] but I've never seen it before and did a free VIC Roads online rego status check:
