A few more, is always good
I haven't read this article as of yet, it's a personal account of 25 years ownership of a 74 TC 2L L sedan

My pleasure Karin, glad to know you enjoyed those finds.
Sadly I won't be attending the SFS this coming weekend, you probably read I rolled my right ankle last week the dr said I need another week of rest and elevation. I think the next time I go to another classic car event I'll place notification here in the hope I can catch up with CC members then.
I agree with you 100% and I like the vinyl roof on those 76 Update Mk3 wagons in the UK [2000E]
I'll never forget in 1988 with dad's work at the time we [mum, dad and me] lived almost that entire year in Barbados [Caribbean], I loved TC/D Cortina's then and remember seeing the English Cortina's everywhere you went on that little island, many, many Mk3's. I'll have to dig out the slides I'm sure we'll have shots with some of those English Cortina's, at the time they were pretty much everywhere you went on that island. No joke, there were even some 70's Aussie made cars, yep 100% truth! I saw some HQ Holden's and even a few XW/Y Falcons but from memory were only base models BUT still amazing to see them that far away from home!

Just want to let CC members in Melb know that I'll be going to check out a classic car show on [26th of Feb] Sunday approx 11am at the Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood. Just thought I'd let you guys know and might see you there, kinda beats walking around on your own!

Not a bad turnout at that Ringwood classic car show, not a bad effort even from one of those ordinary low life [people like them] in a rotten old yellow wagon
a few more
Was just looking at that new Calder Hwy BP servo -Westside Car Meets facebook site, even though I'm NOT on facebook we can still see the pictures. Apparently they just recorded one of the largest car meets in Melb with nearly 4000 people attending, anyway if this video link below works pause the video at 2:18mins, you'll notice a gold colour TC or D sedan, I'll keep searching for any pictures of this car but don't think I've seen it before.

A few more Cortina finds, mostly older photo's from the 80's but the gold TD Update wagon was probably taken around 2010/09 going by the date of the file, almost wonder if that wagon is Bill66's newish project, pretty sure I had seen his wagon going around the inner city area of Fitzroy and Preston going back to the late 90's-mid 2000's time period

Don't you love those bastards who sabotage this site [buy fake passports etc] anyway I think this Corty below might be the one spotted in the video taken at the new Westside Car Meets Events here in Melb, looks like they have another event planned for Caroline Springs Football Club, 11am - 2nd of April on their facebook page.

Just thought I'd add this link, nice little film showing the opening of the West Gate Bridge in Nov 1978, I caught a glimpse of a red TD Cortina if nothing else:
Thanks Karin, glad to know your enjoying these memories from the past [masquerade the past!]
Yeah the poor lady in distress being saved by the hero's of the bridge, seems like feminism hadn't quite caught up here by that stage, we could never show a real man breaking down. Anyway, I feel sorry for the people who need to drive too work everyday from the west using that bridge, must be a nightmare of constant stop/start traffic congestion, struth was reading Melb is on course to overtake Sydney as the most populated part of Australia with 100,000 plus people moving here each and every year.
I'm very sorry I didn't organize another CC outing last year, been some confusion with a few coming and going on CC but I'm determined to stay here and keep things running, I certainly enjoy this forum if you didn't already know
Whenever we get in the mood to organize something else I still like the idea of the Yan Yean Reservoir over your way, hope all has been well with your good self and undoubtedly still enjoying your lovely TC XLE.
Good on you Karin!
PS - Here's another film I'm hoping to view tonight, the 1984 Cannonball Cup - started in Sunbury Vic over to Fremantle WA

Found another slide from 94 when I got the old tf wagon, front of the place looked much nicer then when we had a fence

More 70's and early 80's pics on the way

a few more.. If you have nothing better to do you can check out this Aussie horror/comedy film from 1992 - Body Melt, from memory when this came out it was mostly filmed over in the then new suburb of Caroline Springs Melb. A crazy film but worth a watch:
