    Default All-new F150 uncovered photos.

Attached are spy photos of the all-new Ford F150 truck due to be revealed at the Detroit motor show in Jan next year. This is a huge new car for Ford USA as they attempt to arrest their sales slide.
It's not a massive change from the previous model although I prefer the new front end as opposed to the new Superduty. The Edge-esque head lights look good as does the grill. The interior seems alright too.

Much better than the current one, though still no oil painting. You sure that's a 150? It looks huge!

Seems like they have taken a lot of the design from Land Rover - the interior console especially.

    My thoughts exactly.

As for the design itself, not bad but that dashboard... geez... it looks like a LR dashboard until you go over it. It's so messy. Buttons galore!

Looks interesting. Lose the column shift and chrome wheels and they might have something.

Looking good but as mentionedthey could do to improve the interior. Seriously waht do they need than number of buttons/switches for? THe new grille looks great.

Now we just need RHD production.........

Rumour has it that a High Torque version of the 3.7 will debut in the F150. This engine will be the logical choice for the Falcon, and may, or may not be the basis for engine tweaks which will match power and torque outputs for the BarraOrion.

Looks good, but I hate hate hate the appearance of the Column Shift Boot. What's wrong with making the Track visible?

Is that woodgrain on the Console? In a Truck?

A Volkswagen? That's a two story Victa. Bloody Stupid Germans forgot to put the blades on it. And almost forgot to put the engines in them. Had to shove them in the boot as they shoved 'em out the factory door.

Cost of plastic boot = $0.50
    Cost of gate = $5.
    Multiply difference by 1,000,000 units

Guess they figure it'snot enought to stop (most) people buying it.

Good news re: V6 high torque - sounding good.

Also, another TERRIBLE US steering wheel. FFS.

It's the F150, but i think that is a new, larger Supercrew body to match The Dodge Ram Megacab, and the Toyota Tundra Crewmax...

Column shift is, and has pretty much always been for the lower trim levels, upspec models get the Captains Chairs w/ floor shifter...

    Because he is right.

Do you honestly think Ford has the money to do a completely new F150? This is little more than BA was to AU. A complete overhaul.

The petrol Duratec37 you mean? I've been led to believe that the 37 was to be saved for Lincoln. Anyway, I'd agree with you that it would be the most appropriate engine (and probably more so than the small 35).

Nah, there will be another tune for the 3.7, which modifies the torque output, in a similar way that Holden has a Higher Output 3.6 - AFAIK, the Executive, Acclaim and Berlina get the LoPo V6, whilst the Calais, and Statesmen pair get the HiPo. Ford will most likely use the High Tune V6 only in the Falcon.

We are pretty certain of this, as Ford wants Falcon to keep the displacement (and therefore torque) advantage over Commodore. There is just something very Falcon about having ~400 NMs at your disposal. That being said, Ford may pull something out of somewhere and bring out a torquey version of the 3.5 (or a 3984 cc).

The 3.5L V6 has been thrown around a lot ever since the announcement that the I6 was to die although did Gorman actually ever mention the 3.5? Or did the media all just assume it would be 3.5 because that was the only size on offer in the USA at the time (well other than the 3.0) Surely it would struggle with the Territory's bulk too.
