    Default 5 speed borgwarner

    hey i found a 5 speed for sale and was wondering how it would fit in a xc 302 v8. this is it : Ford Borg Warner 5 speed manual gearbox, complete from pedal to diff, suit XD-E-F, model 0507-XXX

    what ya think?

    Hmmm. I could do with one of those. I need a full manual setup for the van.. Maybe i'll scout out for a T5.

    yeah the 507 came out of 3.3 litre falcons and also was found in sigmas and your v8 would probally chew it up same with a powerful 250 xflow. i changed mine for a t5 witch is a far better box.

    Was a rubbish box in Falcon six would last about 5 minutes in V8 dont waste your time or money.:_poke:

    A mate of mine bought one of those for his completely stock 250 xf..... it lasted about a month before the main input shaft snapped and a couple cogs went awol.... great for sigmas, bad for cars with real engines....... would be humerous to see what a v8 could do to one though...

    Hehe... V8 with around 400nm running a 200CI 90kw/230nm falcon gearbox = destruction!!!
    RIP: 1978 TE CORTINA. 4.1L mild 250xflow, T5, welded 2.92:1diff, 16" wheels, Lots of fun was had in the old beast...
