Can you tell me what the initials MKll mean in the name Ford Kuga MKll Titanium.
First up, what does MK stand for.
Also, does the ll mean 2. I'm confused because the ll are two lower case L's.
I hadda gander at heaps of Ford web pages but found no answers to this.

Something about new Kuga
For some reason Ford have revealed everything about the new Kuga on their website, yet haven't sent out any press releases.
So there's two models:
Trend: $43K Drive away
Titanium: $49K Drive away
Check it out here:...
From Car Advice:
Good news although I guess the next question will be, what will they call it? Will they want to bring it inline with the European names and move it away from the rather.... simple......
For some reason, I missed this announcement. Ford NZ will be selling the smallish-SUV-sized Kuga from later this year. Interestingly, it'll only be sold in the high-spec Titanium form starting at $53K.
Attached are leaked photo of the Ford Vertrek concept which is a hint as to what the 2012 Ford Escape and Kuga will look like. More photos and info will be released in a few hours when the embargo lifts.
Scroll down for press release and more photos.
I have just come back from 4 weeks in Europe. I visited 11 different countries in that time & had the opportunity to see many different cars. I went to a Ford dealer and had a good look at the Kuga. I work in a Ford dealership here and I am baffled as to why we persist with the Escape....
In a nutshell, it's being taken seriously by Ford Australia, but won't arrive in 2010. Main reason being that it now comes with a 6 speed auto in petrol form. Unfortunately the TDCI model only comes with the manual.
On the new KA, Burela said the main issue would be supply as well as a lack of...
According to this article on Go Auto, http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/story2/24D644C4DE4C7955CA257654007D48E6 , Ford is expected to soon announce that the Kuga will be replacing the Escape.
The article itself was actually about how Ford have been surprised at how popular the Escape has...
Think what a BMW X6 is to the X5 and you're close enough. AutoExpress has done a few CGIs of what it may look like.
It certainly looks good! Whilst I'm unsure how the likes of the X6 are selling, I can...
Does anyone have any info on if the following vehicle's are going to be part of Ford Australia's make-up?
c)C - MAX
and I hear there is NO Diesel Territory at this stage so why the heck don't they pull their heads out of the sand and bring in the Everest from Thailand.
Tom Ford from the UK's 5th Gear has reviewed the new Ford Kuga. Click on the following link to see the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvWdPPxd2mA
Attached are photos of the Kuga with a 2.5l TI5 from the Focus XR5T with one of Ford's 'individual' bodykits. It's quite likely that we'll get this car here in Australia and an obvious question would be, should the turbocharged model be named the Kuga XR5 Turbo?
With the weight of the car I can't...
Considering the fact that the Escape is sold throughout Asia, you'd imagine that it could easily be replaced with the Kuga. It would be a pity to have to wait until 2010, though.
5min video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvWdPPxd2mA
In summary, Tom thinks it's a little expensive but better inside and out than the VW Tiguan. He praises the cars dynamics especially.
I can't wait to see it in Aussie dealers.
Fairly much what we expected. I haven't found any specs yet so if anyone else does, please post them up.
Here it is! The replacement for the Ford Escape and Fordís entrant into the booming small/medium SUV segment.
This is a very exciting car and I hope we'll get it in Australia late 2008 because I'm sure it'll be a cracker (like most other Euro Fords) and vastly superior to our Escape and South Korean Captiva. While it does look great, I'm just a little worried about the amount of creases. Ford seems to be...
