(Not Ford) American cars sold here as well as discussion relating to the North American automotive market.
Welcome to the imported auto discussion rooms. Whilst weíre a Ford forum, many of us are car enthusiast and share a passion for many different cars irrespective of the badge. This is where these rooms come in.
We encourage everyone to discuss anything with four wheels but remember that...

Unfortunately for Holde, Cadilliac have dropped the turbocharged 2.8L SRX medium SUV due to poor sales. Production of the motor will continue down here in Melbourne because the engine will be going into the...
Cadillac have revealed a concept at today's Los Angeles Motor show that looks like their version of the Aston Martin Cygnet, except this has 4 seats.
It's powered by a turbocharged 1L 3cyl as well as electric assist.
More info and photos:...
Here's photos of the new 300C due out later this year or early next. As you can see, it's rather bland... The love-or-hate look of the previous model won it a lot of fans but this just looks like a generic large sedan.
I think it's GM's answer to the SVT Raptor F150.

GM, Chrysler Investing In New Small Cars
GM and Chrysler need all the money they can grab. So small is the way to go it would seem.
Such a cool looking car! :) And Aussies did most of the work on it.
Essentially, GM is working on a smaller RWD platform that will form the base of the next generation Chevy Camaro, Cadilliac ATS and the CTS. It'll be smaller than the Commodore's Zeta platform, although it can be stretched to Zeta size.
Also it should be able to work with an I4, V6 and GM's larger...
The EPA have just announced the Volt's fuel economy figures and it wasn't quite as good as what GM predicted. they expected 230mpg, but it's ended up being 93. Which is less than the 99mpg which the EPA's quoted for the...
Thanks to Carscoop, here is a little bit of trivia which will have the other companies putting on their thinking caps.........http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/09/shelby-releases-800-horsepower-super.html
And it's probably coming to Australia...
I can't wait to see this engine in the Falcon. Amazing that a car engineered in the US is anything but rubbish.
As I predicted last year, after the initial excitment of the new Camaro, interest would dwindle and the Mustang would again outsell it. Well that happened last month.
Ford sold 10,225 Mustangs verses 8931 Camaros.
After a lot of noise and excitement surrounding the new Taurus, from what Iíve gathered, it isnít selling very well. Whilst I believe the SHO and high-spec cars are selling well, the overall sales figures arenít impressive. Last month they sold 6166 of them, which for a country of ~300 million, is...
As reported on Gminside news, GM is dropping the 3.0 V6 on LaCrosse and adapting the SIDI 3.6 to AWD.
On US EPA city/highway tests, the 3.0 SIDI gave little or no economy improvement over the 3.6 SIDI
I wonder how long Holden will persist until they realise there's a better way...
Hey guys check out this dyno graph for the 2011 5.0 litre Mustang,
seems like it makes just short of 300 Kw at the back wheels.....
Look out Holden...
The EPA have revealed the new Mustang GT's fuel figures as being 26 mpg highway and 17 mpg city. I'll let someone else convert those into L/100kms (as last time I stuffed up?) but it's the best in class which is making this new V8 going...
I'm afraid tis the season for recalls but this one wont reach the aussie press for obvious reasons. So there is a steering problem in their compacts Here is the link.......http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6210IQ20100302 They join toyota in the recall frenzy. C U
ēOrders for the 2011 Ford Mustang approach 11,000 in first month order banks are open Ė triple the number of orders that the 2010 Ford Mustang had at the same point in its launch
ē2011 Mustang V-6s are 50 percent of all orders, up 19 percent versus initial orders in 2010

I came across this the other day, written by one of the guys put in charge of the gm and chrysler bail outs.
Falcon's front suspension the towers are even closer to the engine,
could it be the rumors of a twin turbo V8 Falcon are wrong?
It's more than likely that the Americans will plumb for a supercharged engine,
I wonder if Australia will follow suit......
I'm looking forward to this motor show and here's the first car revealed.
Not massively exciting as it's just a CTS-V with the back doors welded up, but cool anyway.
408kWs and 747Nm from the 6.2L blown V8. Should get to 60mph in 3.9 seconds.
According to The Detroit Bureau, Ford is working on an EcoBoost version of their V8 engine based off of the 5.0 liter "Coyote" V8, which is coming to the Ford Mustang next year. If the rumors are true, the EcoBoosted V8 would be capable of producing over 500 horsepower as well as get an efficient...
Firstly, Americans tend to name all of their cars for the following year. So this 2011 model will go on sale in 2010.
Secondly, this is the most powerful version of the Duratec37 V6 we've seen. 224kWs, 379Nm and will rev to 7000rpm.
would you seriously buy a chrysler? i cant name one currently available from an Aussie dealership that i would LIKE to own. thats including jeep/dodge.
some of the higher model Jeeps seem ok, but for the money you could do better.
im completely over the 300c. srt8 is cool, but i dont want...
Well, I have been in the States for some 5 days now, and driving around for 4. I started off with a PT Cruiser (yay for me) but then I had them replace it with a Fusion as soon as one came in.
First, a Fusion review.
A number of people have said we need this car in Australia, including...
My old man is looking to buy a mustang and I have a few questions maybe someone could answer. Well it is a '67 fastback GT S code, it is running with a 390 ci engine with auto trans and with full options. It has no body rust/damage and is in fairly good condition. Would anyone know roughly what it...
Thought you guys might appreciate the soundtrack for this particular commercial considering who originally laid this track down. Granted, the folks playing it here aren't 'the Church' by any means, but it beats most music used in auto commercials handily....and it should appeal to the right age...
That Americon icon has been sold off to China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery for a rumoured $150 million.
As many of you will know, the current Mustang still comes with a solid rear axle which frankly rubbish (and you could probably argue as dangerous). Anywho, MotorTrend are reporting that the 05 Mustang was going to use the BA Falcon's IRS and the development work had started when product development...
It's being well received although a lot are suggesting that it's a little too expensive and heavy. We know that there are EcoBoost Fusions around so that could well be a...
As we all sit here in Australia, Chrysler could be 24 hours away from oblivion. FIAT and Chrysler have to eek out a merger deal by close of business today (tomorrow US Time), or Obama will force them into Chapter 11.
With the UAW and CUAW finally realising that it is better to make some...
This has to be more bad news for Holden's Zeta, seems Noth Amreica doesn't want a bar of it.
I'm almost certain they would have switched the Camaro to the cadillac CTS Sigma platform if they could have....
The cadillac DTS is a similar size to the Statesman Caprice, could this also be a future...
Here is hoping something like this is planned. Mulally isn't stupid, and it would be nice to think something like this is happening, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
Hereís the new 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and itís utter rubbish. Look at the interior! Itís far too early-00s American with large expanses of plastic and like the new 300C, itís years behind the Taurusí interior. Compare this to the new Explorer due next year and itís no wonder Chrysler are on life...
Attached is an official image released by Chrysler with their future plans. It's the facelifted 300C due next year. The interior is a big improvement, although still not brilliant. The exterior is somewhat plain, though. Especially after we saw that 200C concept car.
Two photos of the electric Tesla Model S have leaked ahead of the official launch in a few hours.
Seems like the car with one of the longest lead times in history (being narrowly beaten by the Volt:p) Has fallen victem to it's own hype
Wow if that claim is true, that thing has some grip and mumbo.
And here it is...
2010 Ford Taurus SHO: The Sleeper Awakens!
from Jalopnik by Ben Wojdyla
You saw it here first. Now it's official, the Ford Taurus SHO is back. The new Super High Output's equipped with a...
Well now, that old man Taurus sure is looking a lot more youthful these days.
The SHO pictured comes complete with 350 hp and 350 lbft AWD drive train.
Is this going to be Ford's new cult car?
REPORT: 2011 Ford F-150 to share new V8 with Mustang, also get EcoBoost V6
by Jonathon Ramsey on Jan 20th 2009 at 11:17AM
PickupTrucks.com is reporting that by the end of 2010, Ford will alter the three engine options that currently make up the engine choices in the F-150. What is coming in...
From what I've gathered, this is a Lincoln version of the new 2011 Focus.
