Hey all,
Just found the forum the other day as I am struggling to find a part for my new car and hope that someone out there can help.
We recently bought a 2009 Mondeo LX Wagon, a massive upgrade from our old Hyundai Lantra, and due to the height of our garage door, we have had to remove the factory aerial.
There lies my problem, I am struggling to find a new aerial that will fit the male thread that is on the base. I had ordered one through a car audio shop in Brisbane and after 4 weeks of waiting for it to turn up, I was bummed to find that it didn't fit.
The folks at the shop suggested looking at a European wreckers, due to the car being manufactured in Belgium, but I haven't really been able to find any in Brisbane.
I have tried contacting Southside Ford's parts department but they only offer ones that are the same length as standard.
I am hesitant to buy anything off Ebay knowing that my chances of one fitting without trying it before hand are pretty slim.
I am after a short plain or carbon fibre, doesn't matter really, stubby aerial.
If anyone has come across this problem before or can just point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
Cheers
