Yeah, I know there are threads about this already! :nerdy:

Most of them are for broken actuators. None of the components in my actuator are broken, the motor spins but does not have enough tourque to activate the mechanism.

I am wondering if this is lack of juice (I measured 3.5 - 4 volts, I am guessing it splits the 12 volts across all 4 doors) or a burnt out motor.

Also, anyone think buying a used regulator from the wreckers would be ok?

I think ford want you to replace the whole assembly with an expensive BA part.

FYI anyone whos interested, it was the Actuator.

I replaced it with the new BF part from ford $160 including loom.

All good now. :bis:

When your actuator was bung, were you only able to open the door from the inside. I ask as I'm trying to diagnose a problem in my car.

Nah, My rear door would not lock at all, so I was able to open it from everywhere.

Could be that you actuator on yours is jammed in the lock position. I don't really know. Take the trim off and check whether the handle is connected to the actuator as well. You should also be able to hear whether the central locking mechanism in the door is working when you press the remote.
