Hey guys, I have a series 3 Au Fairmont and when turning the steering wheel to park in tight spaces there is a vibrating sound that I have traced to the power steering pipes vibrating. Has anyone else had this problem and how did they fix it? It seems that if the steering wheel is turned too fast then the pipes pulsate........weird.

If this is happening at full lock, the power steering is crying in pain. At full lock the system is at full pressure and holding full lock for sustained periods can cause damage. I would just make sure the pipes are secured properly. The fix would be a new pump, I suppose.

No its nots not on full lock, it happens whilst turning the wheel. The pipes are secure which is why its confusing:thinking:
