My sister just got a AUII Forte a few months ago.

I drove it and was shocked at its poor handling...

Anyone got some suggestions as to suspenion combos ?

I think it needs at least a 30mm lowing all round to start.

Or if you cant get one of them go 30mm lowered all round with good shocks and a larger front swaybar, new negative camber wheel alignment and that'll make a HUGE difference...

Keen to find out the history of my car..... AUII S.

As we know, it's only a Forte with a few trim changes and options. BUT, it seems to handle quite well, while sitting basically the same as a normal AU.

Having said that, it does feel a bit harsher in the ride than some AUII's I've been in, as well as sitting much flatter in corners - 17 inch Ticky rims wouldn't make THAT much difference to the handling I wouldn't imagine....?

Being an SR it might already have the Tickford shocks, you may only need to get some King SL springs..

AUII S-packs have the same suspension as the non-VCT XR6 with live axle rear. They are already factory lowered.

I had a Pedders Sportsryder system put on mine AUII Forte) @ XR height with a camber/caster kit. Sticks like the perverbial now. Cost about $1100 all up including fitting.
The only downside is getting someone who knows what they're doing to align it PROPERLY!

Pedders at Penrith in NSW. It was 4 years ago now so price may be different. Any Pedders should be able to help out.
